TRIGGER VIP Private Moment of Sharing – William L. Sayre High School

A private event for the latest cohort of young storytellers to perform their storytellers to an invited audience.

In a program funded by a Violence Intervention and Prevention grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), the Philadelphia Foundation, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Asset Forfeiture Community Organization Grants and the City of Philadelphia Office of Public Safety Anti-Violence Community Partnership Grant.

The culmination of ten weeks of inspiration from excerpts of the TRIGGER film young storytellers work with FPA teaching artists on personal stories that are important to them.

They build confidence and story skills that are transferable to everyday life and their future, and most importantly, they build support networks to grow resilience to future traumas.

Co-created events are the capstone of this program; some are videoed, others feature live performances.

We hope to invite storytellers to a live, public event soon.
