Commonspace is a radio show and podcast about the issues that underlie current events. It was born when two trusted, Philadelphia-based organizations with expertise in sharing thought-provoking stories came together to create a place as fun, poignant, and maddening as the world that surrounds us. Through trusted journalism, artistic responses, and innovative partnership, WHYY and First Person Arts are building Commonspace to broaden our understanding of ourselves, each other, and the world. Reruns of the first season of Commonspace air on the last Sunday of each month on WHYY-FM, and our second season will debut as a weekly series in Spring 2018.

Pitch us your ideas!
Commonspace is a place to have conversations about the real issues that are important to all of our everyday lives. That’s why we want our listeners to also have a voice – literally – in how we talk about what’s going on in the world today. Our pitch events are a chance for YOU to come in to our studios and tell us your personal stories about the issues we’ll be covering in upcoming episodes.
Commonspace, a collaboration between WHYY and First Person Arts, is supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
