We’re hiring!

Thanks to a generous grant from the William Penn Foundation, First Person Arts is looking to increase our staff over the coming months, starting with three brand new positions.

We are preparing to expand the reach and diversity of our programming, including our signature First Person Festival of Memoir and Documentary Art, the First Person Museum, our twice monthly First Person StorySlams, quarterly artist salons and food/story events. The new position of Program Director is part of the management team that will steer that growth. He/she will be responsible for curating a year-long slate of programs that incorporate top local and nationally-known filmmakers, writers, performers and visual artists.

The Development Associate is responsible for researching and writing funding requests to a wide range of foundations and donor organizations. He/she will also be involved in other writing for the organization, database management, gift acknowledgement and other development projects.

The First Person Festival brochure reaches 40,000 households throughout the greater Philadelphia Area, and is an excellent opportunity for businesses to reach a young, educated group of consumers. We are seeking a personable, highly motivated individual to cultivate new prospects and expand the base of advertisers.

More info about each of these positions can be found here.
