Keep on the Sunny Side

It was all in the family at last night’s “Family Ties” Slam at World Cafe Live. We heard dad hollering at us from the front yard in nothing but his skivvies and tube socks and mom’s explanation for why the word “cliterous” just rolls off the tongue, but it was last night’s winning story that took us on the road to a place where we could find out how to cut a watermelon in prison.

Buckle up and hit the road for a family road trip with last night’s winning “Family Ties” StorySlammer and Audience Favorite, Janet and find out what happens when the new cab and a half dodge pick up truck inspires a modern take on the covered wagon. Then ditch the cover and upgrade to a convertible. Tell great grandma to hold on to her scarf. After checking out her winning story, you’ll be keeping on the sunny side with Janet all the way from St. Louis to Florida.

Congratulations to Janet! Special thanks to all of our kindred storytellers and everyone who came out last night.
